What should you look for when choosing a cleaning product?
The right cleaning product depends on the surface, the type of soiling and how often you clean. Use dishwashing liquid and degreaser for greasy kitchen soiling, bathroom and toilet cleaners for limescale and rust, and bleach for whitening and hygiene.
Never mix chemical cleaning products. Mixing bleach with acidic products (hydrochloric acid cleaner, descaler) in particular can release toxic gas. Always follow the directions for use and safety warnings on each product's pack.
